Where can someone learn more about herbal treatment? There are many resources to use when wanting to obtain information about herbal treatment. For one, you can always go to your nearest pharmacy and ask a pharmacist any questions you may have. You can also access Scholar.google.com to find legitimate information on your search. One site I found was www.theannals.com/cgi/content/abstract/34/6/710. It talks about how herbal medication use has dramatically increased over the years.

My goal for researching herbal medical as an alternative is to show people that medication that is listed as "safe" such as Tylenol and Aspirin , could be dangerous if take wrong. Also, it is known for common over the counter drugs such as Tylenol to cause accidental over-dose when only taking the recommended use.

Some people might debate that herbal medication can't be enough to treat someone with depression, or any other psychological "disease".

I believe that everyone can heal themselves if they think a certain way. I do believe there is a new study being conducted about neuroscience. The research is being studied in order to train oneself to learn a new way of thinking, and to heal themselves through this way of thinking.

One may also debate how to overcome pain with herbal treatment instead of standard medical treatment. To my knowledge there are many ways to sustain pain. Meditation is not an herbal medication but it is a way of concentrating on other things rather than the things that bother you such as pain.

I have chosen Herbal medicine being an alternative to traditional medical treatment. This week I will start conducting research on standard over the counter medication that the world purchases everyday, and how it can be harmful if taken wrong. I will look for legitimate search engines to begin my research, and start searching Tylenol, Aspirin, cold medications such as Ny-quil , and Robetussin. I will also search medical websites that I posted on my Delicious account. I will use many websites and search engines in which some will include http://scholar.google.com/, BMJ.com,etc.

Some other research I may look into is spirituality and herbal medications. I might go as far as interviewing one that is a nature enthusiast.

Research is sorting and acquiring information to prove something is factual. There are many steps of research, of which you have many sources to use. Research is making theories, testing them, and keeping or dismissing them if need be. One that conducts research must be skeptical, and willing to set biases and beliefs aside. Also, they must be able to accept any of their own error.

The last time I conducted research was for my History 1220 class. I wrote a paper on fashion and beauty in the 1920's. I was able to use journal articles, news websites such as PBS, and books as my sources for the paper. I also did a research paper for my Psychology class last semester. The topic I had to research was " Are addictions considered a disease?" This really made me have to use critical thinking skills I haven't used before. One thing I have learned is never to give up, and to remain dedicated and patient.

• Currently taking a Womens Studies class, and would like to know more about the founding mothers of feminism, such as Jane Adams.
• Would also like to conduct or read research based on women and self-image; how does media effect the psyche of various ages of women?
• Love art and culture, and would love to research body art of various cultures.Where did it start, and how long ago?
• I am also a very spiritual person, and for some reason extremely drawn in with the idea of mother nature. I would like to research witches of the past and how the Wiccan religion started.
